Would You Rather Own or Lease Your Rooftop Solar?

I am leasing a 10kw PV system from Solar City, I have had the system installed on my roof of my home in Southern Maryland in June 2012. My initial cost for installation was $00.00 and in the last two years my system has generated 15,000 kWh of electricity. Prior to June 2012 my average annual consumption of electricity was 13,000 kwh per year. My Solar City lease is less than $114.64 a month and in the last two years my electricity consumption from the utility has decreased drastically with net metering, my utility bill is a markup of; consumer charges, energy charges, numerous taxes, surcharges and credits but my annual electric utility bill has still decreased from on the average of $2,000.00 a year to a little above $200.00 a year a 90% reduction and even with the $1,375.68 annual Solar City lease fee I am still saving about $800.00 (+/-) a year on electricity utility c...
