Solar Panel Prices Expected to Rise in the US Due to New Tariffs on Chinese Panels

According to a fact sheet released by the DOC, the AD law “provides U.S. businesses and workers with a transparent and internationally accepted mechanism to seek relief from the market-distorting effects caused by injurious dumping of imports into the United States. The DOC believes that this creates “an opportunity [for U.S. businesses] to compete on a level playing field.” The DOC has prelimarily determined that “certain crystalline silicon photovoltaic products from China and Taiwan have been sold in the United States at dumping margins ranging from 26.33 to 58.87 percent, and 27.59 to 44.18 percent, respectively and will be collecting tariffs on the following manufacturers in the following amounts.
