Vestas receives order for 78 MW-worth of turbines in North America

Courtesy of Vestas Wind Systems A/S Vestas has received an order for 78 megawatts worth of their wind turbines in North America. The order is for 39 V110-2.0 MW turbines for an unspecified 78 MW project in North America. Wind turbine delivery for the project is expected in the third quarter of 2016, with commissioning slated by the fourth quarter of 2016. Vestas boasts that that their V110-2.0 MW turbine has increased annual energy production by up to 13.6 percent more compared to their V100-1.8 MW turbine. In addition to supplying the turbines, Vestas will provide the project with a five-year Active Output Management 5000 service agreement which ensures that the turbines are operational when the wind is blowing. The wind turbine company’s VestasOnline surveillance system that remotely controls and monitors the turbines and minimizes lost production will also be provided. ...
