Trina Solar to supply 36 MW of PV modules to Chilean project #solar

Trina Solar Ltd. (Changzhou, China) has signed an agreement to supply 36 MW of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules for a utility-scale PV plant in Chile. Trina did not name the other party in the agreement, but described it as a “long-term strategic partner”. Trina Solar will supply its TSM-PC14 PV modules, which are certified to 1,000 volts, and expects to complete the shipment in the second quarter of 2014. Trina says that these modules are ideal for large-scale plants in areas prone to high temperatures and dry conditions. “We are delighted to support this project and bring clean power to Chile,” said Trina Module Business Unit President Zhiguo Zhu. “Chile's vast desert with abundant solar resources creates significant potential for solar energy.” “We are enthusiastic about the prospects for solar energy in Chile and look forward to increasing our supply of modules to suppo...
