NYC's Greater, Greener Buildings Plan

For the next few days we will be taking a deeper look at New York City's Greater, Greener Building plan and how it can impact local energy projects and incentives. Background: The building sector, comprised of both commercial and residential structures, throughout the United States consumes close to 40%[1] of the total national energy for operation and maintenance purposes. Although initially shocking, this statistic makes intuitive sense considering the multitude of consistent energy inputs (lighting, HVAC, water, conveying, etc…) that the vast majority of buildings require.
