Study suggest #UK solar #FIT cuts could cost 29,000 jobs and £230m annually in lost tax revenue:

There is only one rationale for what the government is doing in killing the solar PV industry before it has begun and that is to pander to the big energy lobby. Private power simply takes away big business profit, the FITs take away from big business profit, they don’t like it. So the lobbying ‘influences’ the Tories (like the US Republicans) who are notorious for accepting benefits from lobbyists in return for policy. Forget the environment. Forget the economy. Forget jobs. Forget growth. As long as we (the politicians) take care of our big business masters, they will take care of us. The amount of lies perpetuated by the MPs during the debate this week were eye-popping. “Twice as much solar will be installed by making these cuts” – Mr Huhne could not be more wrong or more disingenuous. How is more solar going to be installed when 10,000s of contracts are being cancelled?...
