S&C to design and build 4.1 MW #solar project in Massachusetts

Chicago-based S&C Electric Co. has announced a $9.7 million project with independent power producer Green States Energy for the construction of a 4.1 MW solar photovoltaic farm in Sandwich, Mass. S&C says it will lead the project team and provide engineering, procurement and project management services for both the AC and DC portions of the project. Charlotte, N.C.-based Green Earth Developers LLC is providing physical construction services, including the installation of the racking systems and solar panels and construction management of the DC systems and AC interconnection, S&C notes. According to S&C, the project qualifies to receive solar renewable energy certificate units issued through the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources.
