At the heart of the home’s energy solution is the new Conext TX range of single-phase inverter line. Conext TX inverters range from 2.8 to 5 kW and use Schneider Electric’s Fast Sweep technology, containing an innovative maximum power point tracking (MPPT) feature that helps ensure increased energy harvest in shaded conditions. They are easily installed as a single inverter for a single photovoltaic (PV) array or in a multiple-inverter configuration for larger PV systems. Greenland Energy Dynamics and Scarlet Custom Homes partnered in building the 1700 square foot home, designed by renowned architect Larry Garnett. The Net-Zero Energy Home of Tomorrow is powered by about 75 percent solar energy and 25 percent wind energy, and uses solar hot water as well as geothermal heating and air conditioning.
