This fundamental truth lies at the heart of the problems and challenges now facing gas producers, service companies, pipeline companies and investors. That truth could also be extended to include governments who now face lower-than-anticipated revenues and higher-than-expected infrastructure costs. This reservoir truth about shale formation diversity also helps to explain why the traditional industry adjustment mechanism of stopping drilling hasn’t worked as usual.
