#Colorado Ahead of Other States in Renewable - #Solar - Energy: via @GetSolar

Colorado Ahead of Other States in Renewable Energy Thursday, January 31st 2013 11:41 PM By GetSolar Staff. The University of Colorado Boulder recently received a new 500 kilowatt solar photovoltaic power generation installation on its campus. According to Energy Manager Today, former CU-Boulder Chancellor G.P. “Bud” Peterson pledged to the American College and University President's Climate Commitment that the college would be able to meet its short-term goal of becoming a solar-friendly campus. In order to meet the goal, college officials want to be able to power the entire campus using renewable energy, which will reduce energy use and electricity costs as well as fulfill part of its long-term goal of becoming a carbon-neutral campus.
