UK Company Invests £500K to Switch from Oil to Biomass Boilers :

Paper-product manufacturing company, Boardlink has invested £500,000 in biomass energy for its North Wales facility, installing wood-fueled boilers to fuel its 32,500-square meter site based in Hawarden. Replacing its existing oil boilers, the installation of two Fröling biomass boilers is Boardlink’s first step in a five-year plan to power its operations with sustainable and renewable energy, the company said. “The foundation of European carton board production is based on continuously growing, well-managed forests as well as paperboard mills powered by bioenergy. This investment is the first step to ensure our production process is as environmentally friendly as our products,” said Ben Still, Managing Director of Boardlink.
